The use of Nutrition & Health Claims in food and supplements is crucial for communication and market positioning, but it is regulated by Regulation (EC) No 1924/2006, which imposes strict criteria to ensure its veracity and scientific support.
This course will provide a detailed analysis of the European legislation, delving into the EFSA’s claims assessment and authorisation process and the scientific requirements. Through a theoretical and practical approach, participants will understand the implications for food and nutraceutical companies.
Practical cases and recent decisions will also be analysed, offering concrete tools to address regulatory challenges and optimise the use of nutrition and health claims.
